Privacy Policy

This explains what we collect when you use this website or text us, what we do with it, and what we will never do with it. If anything here is unclear, ask us. We would rather explain it than have you guess.

Who we are

What we collect

Information you give us

We only collect what you type into a form or send us. Depending on the form, that can include:

• Planning a visit: your name, and optionally your email, phone, which Sunday you are coming, which service, your children's ages, and anything you want us to know beforehand.
• Prayer requests and care requests: your name, email, phone, and whatever you choose to share about your situation.
• Partnership: your name, contact details, address, birthday, family details, something of your faith background, and your agreement to our commitments.

Nothing on this site requires you to create an account, and we never ask for a payment card. Giving is handled by Church Center, which is a separate service with its own privacy policy.

Information collected automatically

Our host keeps standard server logs, which include the IP address your request came from, the page you asked for, and the time. That is normal for any website and is used to keep the site running and secure.

What we do not do

This site has no analytics, no advertising trackers, and no cookies that follow you anywhere. We are not measuring you.

Text messaging

Mobile information and texting consent will not be sold or shared with third parties for their marketing purposes.

We only have your mobile number if you gave it to us: by texting us first, by texting a keyword to join one of our ministry texting groups, or by entering it on a form here and ticking the box asking us to text you. We do not buy lists and we do not add numbers we were not given.

We do not sell phone numbers. We do not rent them, trade them, or hand them to anyone who wants to advertise to you. The only companies that touch your number are the ones that actually deliver the message for us, and they are not allowed to use it for their own purposes.

Message frequency varies. There is no set schedule. Some weeks bring nothing at all, and a week with an event or a change of plan may bring several.

Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge for these messages, but your mobile carrier may charge you for sending or receiving them depending on your plan.

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. Full details of what we send are in our SMS Terms.

How we use what you share

• To reply to you, and to do the thing you asked for.
• To have someone ready to meet you if you told us you were visiting.
• To pray for you, if that is what you sent.
• To keep a record of partnership, because that is a commitment between you and this church.

We do not use it to advertise to you, and we do not build a profile of you.

Prayer requests and care requests

These deserve their own paragraph, because they are the most personal thing on this site. What you send goes to our pastoral care team. It does not go on a public prayer list, it is not read from the stage, and it is not passed around. If you would rather talk to a person than type it into a website, call us instead.

Who else sees your information

A small number of services help us run the church, and your information passes through them only to do the job we hired them for:

• Netlify hosts this website and stores what you submit through its forms.
• Planning Center / Church Center handles registrations, giving, and our people records.
• Our text messaging provider delivers messages to and from our number.

None of them are permitted to use your information for their own marketing. We do not sell your information to anyone, for any purpose.

We will only hand information to law enforcement if we are legally required to, or if someone's safety depends on it.

Other people's content on our pages

Two things on this site are loaded from elsewhere, which means those companies can see your IP address when a page loads:

• Google Fonts supplies the typefaces.
• YouTube supplies the sermon thumbnails. Videos only play once you click through to YouTube.

Links to Church Center, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and our merch store take you off this site, where that company's own privacy policy applies rather than ours.

Children

This site is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children. When you tell us your children's ages so we can have check-in ready, that is you giving us that information, not your child.

How long we keep it

Form submissions are kept as long as they are useful for the thing you asked about, and partnership records are kept while you are a partner here. If you want yours removed, ask and we will remove it.

Your choices

• Ask us what we hold about you, and we will tell you.
• Ask us to correct it or delete it, and we will.
• Reply STOP to any text to stop the texts.

Changes

If we change this policy we will change the date at the top. If we ever change it in a way that genuinely affects you, we will say so rather than quietly editing the page.
